A&A the shop is most awesome, yet unfortunately my Subaru is not!Through out the last 8 years or so Ive had much help from them with the great repair service they provide and big knowledge of Subaru vehicles. Dexter and the whole staff. Are friendly & courteous people!I was around few times in the earliest days of the once tiny shop’s beginnings sometime in the mid 90’s if I'm correct with my time line. Ive seen them grow & expand into a very awesome shop! Kudos! I would & will go nowhere else to get help & care with any Subaru(s) i own & have owned!
I definitely recommend A&A The Shop. I booked a prepurchase inspection over the phone, which was very easy (i.e. no long holds or cranky people). I really appreciate that they are open on Saturdays. When I arrived, Sean was the one who helped me and he was great. Their waiting area was really nice: they had water and coffee available and a restroom that was easily accessible and clean. The inspection was thorough and I got a copy of the inspection report. The car will need new tires soon but otherwise was in great shape so I bought it. Sean said in general, the shop also recommends an oil change on newly bought cars. I live out of town, so when I got home, I took the car to the shop I highly trust (who were the ones who recommended A&A to me). They checked a few other things in addition to doing the oil change and only flagged the tires like A&A did, which solidified my trust in A&A.
First of I want to thank Shaun for treating me with dignity and respect when I called and text him for more info more than once. And the other guy I forgot his name for being funny and delightful!I will say from start to finish the transaction and communication is Chefs Kiss ! I called around to find a shop that would be available and earn my business after I got screwed by Midas. Dexter took my info down and gave me info for drop box for the keys and Saturday pick up as an option. I was hesitant as this is my first time here but I always try a 5 starplace with hundreds of good reviews! I dropped off to Shaun and got text and phone call notification about my car, they help me figure out what the other guys may have done. When I picked up they supplied me pictures, parts and explained until i understood. I am so happy I found the other (guys)(good guys= A&A team)besides the dealerships! Thanks A&A you earn my business and I’ll be back

I took my daughter’s 2011 Subaru Outback to get checked because every warning light was on. A&A diagnosed several issues and got them repaired promptly. I did need to take it back bc some lights were still on due to an electrical issue but they fixed it right away with no additional charges and provided a shuttle to my house. Excellent customer service—make sure you talk to Kevin!
For Subaru service, these guys are great. I had taken my car to another shop (no solid diagnosis) and called the dealer, and both failed to tell me about an open recall for my vehicle...the shop wanted me to change the sparkplugs for $400, and the dealer wanted me to spend $200 for diagnostics. While I was speaking with Dexter at A&A, he was aware of the recall off the top of his head, and looked up my vehicle while they were on the phone. And bc it’s a manufacturer recall, A&A couldn’t even make money off this! Great service, great knowledge - this is the kind of shop you want to work with! Hats off to Dexter.
Sean was quick and responsive. They got my mom's car in and did the work right away - they took pictures of some damage so I could see what was damaged and they provided a quick and thorough estimate. I was very pleased with the service - it was our first time using A&A The Shop and I will be taking my car to them for ongoing service.
I had a great first time experience with A&A. Just had an oil change on my 4Runner and waited for servicing which went super fast. They have a great deal online for 1st time customers and have a punch card for oil changes. I am definitely going here over the dealership from now on.
A&A The Shop is my go for my auto needs. I’ve brought three vehicles here to have work done and I always leave feeling good. They’re very trustworthy and great people. I recommend A&A, I’d give them 10 stars if I could.
Have been going here for a few years and the staff is always great! Service is high quality and I've had minimal, if any, issues with my car after appointments. I've recently utilized the shuttle and that was super reliable and easy to use. Highly recommend you take your Subaru here!
Such a great shop. I bring my 2020 Tacoma here that has some lift and other modifications, and they take care of everything very well. Super down to earth people and good at helping educate me I was nervous moving up to AK to find a shop that wouldn't screw me over and I'm super thankful someone referred me here.
Fast and timely service. I got my rear brakes and rotors replaced on my Subaru forester, and they said it would take about 2.5 hours. It only took about 2. While the price was high, they had sooner availability than Subaru Continental. As most Alaskans know, functioning brakes are critical in the winter, so I needed to get the issue fixed sooner than later. Subaru Continental quoted me at about $550 to do the work, but the earliest appointment was a month out. A&A quoted me at $850, but could take the appointment within 2 weeks. The service I had was friendly and professional. I will definitely be returning here in the future, and will recommend this shop to friends.
Have you ever had a moment where you did the dumbest thing you could ever do?? Like jumping your car incorrectly and frying not just your battery but also multiple components in your vehicle?Well I have, and A&A the shop not only fixed my car in a timely manner but they also didn’t make me feel like a total idiot for using jumper cables incorrectly.Fair prices, honest work, done fast!
Gave the shop a call and was able to get my car in for work just before the holidays. Dexter worked on my car and had everything I needed taken care of within a few hours. Really great experience and everything is running smooth. Guys at the front desk were personable and walked me through the pricing. Will be back for future repairs/maintenance.
Was able to schedule my car within a few days. The gentlemen at the counter were professional and friendly. Some of the service cost are cheaper than Subaru Continental. The work was done on time. I will definitely take my Subaru back there.
